MSC
MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announced that effective from July 1, 2024, but not later than July 14, 2024, new FAK rates will be calculated in US dollars from all Asian ports (including Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia) to Europe unless otherwise stated.

Maersk
Prior to this, Maersk also issued a customer announcement, announcing an increase in FAK rates from major Asian ports to multiple destinations in Europe, up to US$9,400/FEU.
This adjustment will officially take effect on July 1 and will be valid until further notice (but no later than December 31, 2024).

On the same day, CMA CGM also announced that it would impose a port congestion surcharge (PCS) to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, starting from June 20,with a charge of USD 300/TEU and USD 600/FEU. Details are as follows:
