It a vintage Mongoose copy. Not a copy of a vintage Mongoose, but a vintage copy of a vintage Mongoose.

I would say antique. Vintage is now the 2000's according to my kids.
Fun fact: I was racing Friday night of all things and people kept asking me about my vintage retro bike. Yes, it is a real 1999 and not some 2010's 're-issue.'
My favorite exchange of the evening with a 15X kid I know very well:
Kid: "What's that?"
Me: "It's a dinosaur."
Kid: "You, or the bike?"
Me: "Both."

Well, after many hours going down the rabbit hole that is the Internet, I ended up back here on bmx museum.

Mystery solved!
Total knock off. You can tell it is this by the side profile of the plate that comes off the bottom bracket.

Re: Any ideas what this frame is?
That's still a pretty cool old school bike though. Depending on the price you might still want to grab it?
And hopefully you stick around for a while and become one of us. Well, not like Dirty Habits but like the rest of us.
